Moisture Detection Instruments

Reliable moisture meters are an essential part of any service provider’s approach to water damage restoration. The proper moisture detection instruments give an objective measurement of the amount of moisture trapped within a structure. They help make critical decisions about what drying equipment to use, where to place it and when to remove it. Most importantly, they let you know when the structure is dry!

HydroSensor 1

Maps the migration of water in carpet and pad without straining your back. The HydroSensor I has a 31" reach, greatly increasing mapping time by cutting out the need to kneel or crawl around on damp carpet. Sensitive nickel-plated points alert you to moisture content above 17 percent. For use only on carpet and pad.

  

DriHawk T-700 Digital Thermo-Hygrometer

Take precise, digital readings of temperature and relative humidity. The DriHawk helps you determine the quality of drying conditions in the affected area and make equipment decisions. DriHawk can also be used as a data logger. Temperature and RH are displayed on one screen. Switch between °F and °C with a temperature range of 32° to 158° F (0° to 70° C) and a temperature accuracy of +/- 0.9° F (+/- 0.5° C). Humidity Range of 0% to 100% with an accuracy +/- 2% RH. Logging Range of 4000 per channel (8000 total) and 16-bit CPU.

Moisture Counter

The Moisture Counter is designed to give fast and accurate measurements of moisture in building materials and contents. The meter is very accurate for measuring the moisture content of wood to about a half inch without inserting pins that may damage the material. It also gives useful moisture content readings on almost all non-metallic building materials. The Moisture Counter uses a nondestructive electronic signal based on lowfrequency impedance. Electrodes behind the pads generate this electrical field, which reaches into about the top 1/2 inch of the surface being measured. When materials are dry, the resistance is high and the signals are insulated from one another. When the material is wet the resistance is decreased six-fold and the meter reads the level of moisture.

EPA Tested and Approved Microbial Treatment Products

Oxine Sanitizer and Deodorizer

Oxine®(AD) is registered by the EPA specifically for sanitation and deodorization in residential, commercial and industrial applications. It has been tested and proven effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. It eliminates odors and leaves no toxic chemical residue or odors. It is easy to apply with no rinsing required. When applied to a pre-cleaned surface, Oxine®(AD) greatly reduces the harmful potential associated with this microbial contamination.

The most significant feature of Oxine®(AD) is the low toxicity and safety of the product. Unlike other chemical products, it does not leave an active chemical residue. After treatment, the product quickly degrades to non-volatile compounds.

Oxine®(AD) is easily applied with the use of a hand held fogger or air driven sprayer. In either case, it is important that a light mist of the product is transferred along the pre-cleaned area completely covering surfaces.

EnviroCon Bacteriostat and Deodorizer

EnviroCon™ is an EPA Registered bacteriostat, fungistat and all purpose deodorizer. EnviroCon™ may be used wherever air needs to be treated. It not only controls the growth of microorganisms, but eliminates the unpleasant odors that are the result of this microbial growth. The powerful active ingredient in EnviroCon™ oxidizes odors associated with bacteria, mold, mildew, smoke, animals, etc. in the air and in air handling units. The product does not cover up or mask the odor with alcohol or perfumes. It eliminates the source of the odor, leaving your air fresh and clean. It is available unscented or with a light mint scent.

The most significant feature of EnviroCon™ is the low toxicity and safety of the product. In addition, EnviroCon™ is not an aerosol and contains no environmentally damaging propellants or flammable ingredients.

EnviroCon™ treatments may be applied to occupied spaces and may be used in all residential, commercial, industrial and health facilities. It is easily applied with the use of a hand held fogger or air driven sprayer. All surfaces should be pre-cleaned prior to application. To control odors associated with bacteria, mold, mildew, animals, smoke, etc., thoroughly spray source of odor with EnviroCon™ and spray a light mist in the air.
